Why Guatemala? What an incredible question! We believe with all our hearts that God crafted us in His image for His divine purpose, and He made each of us uniquely to glorify His name. He knows our stories, understands our hearts, and loves us despite all our imperfections. Our challenges are His way of drawing us closer and teaching us to rely on Him. As Romans 8:28 beautifully says, "... we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose." Little did we realize, God was right there with us as we grew up, learning to navigate the world. Yes, there were countless moments of heartbreak, isolation, loneliness, and disappointment. But looking back, all these experiences shaped us and prepared us for something far greater than merely living life!

Reflecting on raising our family, we made many mistakes. We realized there's more to life than just living, despite having stable jobs. If we had placed Jesus at the center of our marriage from the start, things might have been different. Through our experiences and church missions, we learned the importance of having God at the core of our relationship. Our Christian journey, enriched by marriage conferences and meaningful conversations, shifted our hearts and focus. Witnessing similar struggles in Guatemalan communities, we saw how prioritizing God could transform families and children's lives.
